Working in this integral leadership position, your key responsibility is leading an area engineering team that supports production and maintenance efforts for the department. This involves leading multidiscipline teams to solve problems, providing technical support and guidance for the engineering staff, developing capital and major maintenance plans and forecasts, developing engineering team members technical and leadership skills, and being a member of the department leadership team.

What you will work on:
- Lead multidiscipline area engineering team.
- Mentor, train, and coach engineers and other technical resources.
- Drive and lead problem-solving teams across multiple fields.
- Maintaining strong leadership, including the ability to lead teams across different teams, envisioning and articulating the strategy and passionately owning and driving the team towards achievement.
- Align capital projects for the department by collaborating with operations, maintenance, and quality teams.
- Develop and implement strategic training plans for department engineers to support continuous improvement across production centers.
- Sound understanding of Statistics and process control.
- 5% travel.
About you:
- Supervisory experience in a manufacturing or process industry.
- Excellent communication skills with proven ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Influential and flexible leadership with experience encouraging and championing a diverse workforce.
- Strong experience in management with a proven track record of teamwork skills and ability to build and manage multidisciplinary teams, to grow and develop people.
- Building of culture of ownership, engagement, and empowerment.
- Should be forward-thinking regarding continuous improvement plans.
- Be able to encourage and enable leadership development among their team.
- Sound understanding/experience of project management .
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.

Additional Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of engineering and supervisory experience with responsibility for leading technical teams within a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Hands on experience heavy industrial and manufacturing environments.
- Preferred experience in working knowledge of project management, casting, metal rolling processes, coil coating, or coil slitting is desired.
