The Technical Strategic Project Lead plays a critical role in facilitating the development and execution of Global Engineering (GE) Vision, Mission, and strategic initiatives across the organization. This role is responsible for driving continuous improvement of GE programs and services, integrating IMEx standards, and supporting operational excellence. The position reports to the Vice President of Global Engineering as a member of the GE Leadership Team. Partnering with GE Leadership and other stakeholders, the Technical Strategic Project Lead ensures alignment, a robust operating model, progress tracking, and effective governance.

What You Will Achieve

  • Facilitate the development of long-term strategic goals and translate them into actionable multi-year plans with defined initiatives and outcome metrics.

  • Support the GE Leadership Team in setting up semester goals and ensuring alignment across teams and functions.

  • Track progress of strategic initiatives, performance metrics, and issue resolution using structured governance processes.      

  • Coach initiative leads on PDCA development, setting up project milestones, performance glidepaths and tracking in the Digital Operations Center (DOC).     

  • Responsible for implementation of IMEx ways of working, including Leader Standard Work, Visual Management, Structured Gemba, and Continuous Improvement practices.      

  • Strategic project delivery to drive continuous improvement of GE services and programs to enhance operational performance.     

  • Manage Tier 4 meeting processes, including agenda development, meeting facilitation, and management of follow-up actions/ CI.      

  • Represent GE on cross-functional and high-complexity projects as needed.     

  • Collaborate with Global Engineering leaders, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define goals, priorities, and success metrics, ensuring alignment with business strategies.  

  • Collec, analyze and synthesize input from leaders and stakeholders to find largest sources of loss and greatest opportunities to drive value through digital & technology efforts.

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 6 years of experience; OR a master's degree with at least 5 years of experience; OR a PhD with 1+ years of experience

  •  Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

  • Knowledge of IMEx systems and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Experience working in complex, diverse, and multicultural organizations.  

  • Strong planning and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deliver against work plans.      

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve complex goals and objectives.      

  • Strategic thinking with strong business acumen and customer focus; ability to think from the customer perspective.      

  • Self-motivated and flexible in dynamic, problem-solving environments.

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)

  • Experience with Agile methodologies, Innovation, Lean, Six Sigma, and performance improvement tools.      

  • IMEx ecosystem implementation experience, including leadership ecosystem standards.      

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, credible relationships and influence across the organization.      

  • Organizational agility and ability to adapt to changing priorities and ambiguity.      

  • Act as a change agent to promote culture of One Engineering and evolve the mindset across the organization.

  

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Travel for leadership team meetings and to support project related work.


Work Location Assignment: Hybrid

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $124,400.00 to $207,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
