Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Start, operate, and shut down blow molding machines according to production schedules and safety standards.
• To do mould or colour change overs.
• To instruct / or and monitor staff.
• To liaise with supervisors on back checking non-conformities.
• To report breakdowns and non-conformances.
• To reject non-complying product.
• Adjust machine settings within defined parameters to maintain product quality and efficiency.
• Reject defective products and escalate recurring quality issues to the supervisor.
• Request maintenance support for equipment malfunctions.
• Recommend improvements to machine operation or workflow to enhance productivity.
• Ensure that we are producing as per works order.
• Ensure that products are packed according to a packing specification.
• Complete Quality Check on quality control documents as per company quality schedule.
• Set up extruder speeds on status and machine stops.
• Activate parison length controller (where we have it on a machine) and use the “TEST” adjustment function when required as per shared schedules.
• Conduct basic machine maintenance and cleaning (Autonomous Maintenance). Identify and report mechanical issues or malfunctions to a production supervisor and when possible a maintenance team member.
• Update Daily the Autonomous Maintenance (AM) Leader Standard Work (LSW) operator checklist.
• Check machine material feeding hoppers. Monitor Polymer usage to prevent waste. Report any non-conforming situations to your immediate supervisor for corrective action to be taken. Eliminate LUMPS and waste of Raw Material during setup and running of blow molding machine.
