About your team
This opening is for Investor Servicing Capability Team in GPS space. This team is primarily responsible for development and maintenance of web based call center applications namely SID (Streamlined Interactive Desktop) and other telephony systems. Also, the team has now got ownership of 14 VC++ based WI applications which are business-critical in nature.
About your role
This position is for an experienced lead developer to focus on delivery of new business functionality, maintenance of 14 VC++ based WI applications and enablement of less experienced colleagues in a development team of approximately 10 people. The role is a crucial part of the delivery & support team and is critical to enable us to deliver high quality systems to the business more quickly.
The successful candidate will be able to provide their expertise in building and laying down a robust foundation for major initiatives and also help in reducing the risk of missing the deadlines. The role demands an expert developer who has a great in-depth functional knowledge of development along with good knowledge on key tools and technologies that we are using, an attitude of innovation, automation, and doing the right thing.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager and the Technical Leads assigned to the Delivery & Support team. The development teams are approximately 20-25 people with 10-15 developers.
About you
Must-have skills (Primary):-
· >8 years of industry experience with exposure to complete SDLC cycle in multiple projects.
· Knowledge on design and development of Service Oriented Architecture based solutions.
· Knowledge on design and development of VC++ based desktop apps.
· Knowledge on design and development of Java, Web Services and Springboot based apps.
· Experience of complete project lifecycle execution from Requirements Analysis to Production Support.
· Should have good exposure around writing JUnits in Core Java.
Good to have skills (Secondary):-
· Knowledge on design and development of Node JS based apps.
· Understanding concepts and good exposure on JavaScript, Frameworks like Backbone, Marionette and React js.
· Should have good exposure around writing unit test cases in JavaScript.
Other essential skills:-
· Good exposure around JSON.
· Understanding of Agile model.
· Understanding of Jira tool.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Knowledge of industry standard development and methodologies
· Knowledge of trouble shooting during various phases of development.
· Good client relationship management skills
· Proven ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment
· Good working understanding on Jenkins.
