Technical Services, Customer Service & Inside Sales Rotational Program

ROCKWOOL is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic new graduate to join our team as part of an 18-Month Rotational Program based onsite at our Milton, ON head office. This full-time entry-level opportunity has been designed to provide recent graduates with a well-rounded introduction to the building materials industry through structured rotations of approximately six months each across Technical Services, Customer Services, and Inside Sales with the potential for permanent employment after the 18-month period.

What You Will Be Doing

Technical Services – Months 1-6

  • Conduct a comprehensive review of ROCKWOOL's existing acoustic test data for roofing and wall assemblies

  • Compile structured inventory of all systems tested to date

  • Update ROCKWOOL's Acoustic Roof and Wall Assemblies catalogs ensuring catalogs reflect the most current available test data and serve as active technical resources for ROCKWOOL's internal teams and external stakeholders

  • Develop a working knowledge of key acoustic testing standards, including ASTM E90 (Standard Test Method for Laboratory Measurement of Airborne Sound Attenuation of Building Partitions and Elements), ASTM E413 (Classification for Rating Sound Insulation — STC), and ASTM E1332 (Standard Classification for Rating Outdoor-Indoor Sound Attenuation — OITC), among others

  • Gain hands-on exposure to the principles of building acoustics, including airborne sound transmission, sound absorption, and the factors that influence performance in both wall and roof/ceiling systems.

  • Work closely with the Technical Services team and internal subject matter experts to develop an understanding of how acoustic performance data is applied

Customer Service – Months 7-12

  • Support daily order management, including entering, updating, and tracking customer orders to ensure accuracy and on‑time delivery

  • Respond to customer inquiries (email/phone) related to products, pricing, availability, lead times, and shipment status

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—Supply Chain (Logistics, Warehouse, and Production Planning)—to resolve service issues and support smooth order fulfillment

  • Assist with handling customer complaints, investigating root causes, documenting findings, and contributing to corrective action solutions

  • Analyze customer service metrics (e.g., OTIF, order accuracy, response times) and prepare performance reports to identify trends and improvement opportunities

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, such as optimizing order workflows, enhancing service tools/systems, or contributing to customer experience projects

  • Gain exposure to systems (CRM/ERP), learning how data flows through customer service processes and how to maintain high-quality records

Inside Sales – Months 12-18

  • Proactively manage and grow assigned accounts through outbound calls and relationship building

  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities to increase revenue and product penetration

  • Prepare quotes, negotiate within guidelines, and close sales to achieve monthly targets

  • Maintain accurate CRM records, including pipeline activity

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth order execution and customer satisfaction

  • Monitor sales performance metrics and adjust approach to meet or exceed goals

  • Attend tradeshows and conduct in person meetings with the outside sales team

What You Bring

  • College Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, is required

  • Up to 1 year of relevant work or co-op experience, post degree/diploma

  • Genuine interest in sustainability and building materials or construction industries
