Major Job Functions:
Rental day to day operations (60%): Promote visits to the branch by outbound calls and being active through regular customer interactions. Handle all walk-in traffic and customer inquiries for new, used, and rental equipment sales. Provide product information, technical support on applications of products, rentals, quotes, and try to close the deal. The CSR takes ownership of the life cycle of the order. When receiving an inbound inquiry where the customer requests a site visit, the CSR will engage the customer to an Outside Sales rep who takes ownership of the sale
Technical Electrical knowledge support (20%). When completing your day-to-day operations, this position will offer the Electrical support and knowledge to the customers to assist with the identification and selection of the correct equipment for their application. This could be reading and interrupting of blueprints to creating a single line drawing for the customers to reference. As they support the order through the shop, they continue to support the shop with any technical clarifications or customer communications to ensure the level of service is maintained.
Outbound Lead Generation (10%): Outbound calling from a list of accounts and leads generated from the Business Intelligence team to find rental opportunities. The first approach will be to invite those customers with an opportunity to visit with and connect with an outside Sales Rep at our branches and in case those customers request to be visited. Manage each sale from quoting submission through invoicing (including coordination with shop, customer, and vendors etc.
Inventory management (10%) Working with the staff at the branch and locations within the larger Finning rental network to ensure customers are supported through our branch network, Using their relationships to ensure the fleet is moved through the branch locations to the deliver resources to the customer in a timely fashion. Through the Inventory Management process this role will be engaged in the process to ensure inventory is accurate as it arrives and leave the branch.
Knowledge:
Maintain current knowledge of customers, economic environment and industry trends
Business acumen and understanding of support systems,
Understands and adheres to safety procedures
Resolve customer product concerns, account disputes and warranty and/or goodwill issues
Experience & Education
Minimum 3-5 years of customer facing experience
Journeyperson Electrical Certification or Electrical Technologist is required
Experience in the equipment rental industry is considered an asset
Strong customer service skills with a focus on building and maintaining excellent customer relationships
Proven ability to understand construction phases, job site conditions, and project timelines in order to determine appropriate timing for customer engagement and rental product recommendations
Solid knowledge of temporary power electrical applications, with the ability to demonstrate equipment to increase customer awareness of product offerings and applications
Ability to generate revenue from walk in traffic, including equipment rentals, rental parts, and service
Accountability for customer satisfaction metrics, including Net Promoter Score performance
Ability to establish and maintain long term relationships with assigned customers
Strong attention to safety while managing tight timelines, deadlines, and repetitive tasks
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shift based work schedules
Commitment to contributing to an effective work environment that supports business goals and objectives
Ability to represent the company in an ethical and professional manner while maintaining confidentiality
