As part of our Fire Protection Systems (FPS) portfolio in Ratingen, you will play a key role in ensuring engineering excellence, compliance, and successful project execution across international programs.
Role Overview
As Techncial Project Manager, you will act as the linking element between Project Management and Systems Engineering, ensuring compliance with specifications, requirements, and customer commitments across applicable operating conditions.
You will serve as a shared engineering resource within DEUGRA and L’Hotellier, supporting international engineering inputs into the Kidde Wilson FPS Engineering Portfolio.
In this role, you will oversee project cost controlling, milestone tracking, Gate reviews, and RLPM compliance while supporting engineering forecasting and forward planning.
This position is suited for an established and productive professional contributor who influences stakeholders through expertise, collaboration, and structured project governance.
Primary Responsibilities
Act as a “gatekeeper” to ensure RLPM compliance, milestone tracking, and successful Gate reviews
Direct and coordinate all phases of engineering programs from inception through completion
Prepare and maintain integrated project plans, budgets, schedules, and staffing requirements
Estimate costs, resources, and timelines to ensure achievement of business and financial targets
Monitor and analyze project performance (cost, schedule, technical scope) and prepare progress reports
Liaise between project management, planning teams, engineering teams, and line management
Support proposal preparation, business plans, work statements, specifications, and budget planning
Identify, escalate, and support resolution of project risks and issues to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals
Ensure project and process control documentation complies with contractual and regulatory requirements
Maintain integrated master schedules and support engineering forecasting for upcoming programs
Provide guidance and direction to technical and administrative project team members
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
Professional experience in project engineering, systems engineering, or technical program management
Knowledge of project cost controlling and budget management
Experience working within structured milestone and Gate review processes
Fluent in German and English
Working knowledge of French advantageous
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of project governance frameworks and lifecycle management processes
Experience in fire protection systems, aerospace, defense, or industrial engineering environments
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate technical data into business-relevant insights
Ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Experience supporting proposals and customer-facing technical discussions
