What You Will Achieve

The Technical Portfolio Lead will lead and execute strategic initiatives and business processes. Key responsibilities include:  

  • Act as Global Process owner (GPO)  for Tech Transfer and scale up, lead PCT to support of QMS Revolution 2.0 and the success of this L2 associated workstream team 
  • Lead complex, and high-impact strategic T4- T5 initiatives, including complex Tech Transfer or investigations. Lead strategic and continuous improvement initiatives in NP-LCM Lead the Cross-GTEL LCM Governance forum – a GTEL cross-functional forum
    that manages and owns the full post-marketed product lifecycle  
  • Provides end-to-end initiative, program, project of global cross-functional matrix teams to deliver complex tech transfers on-time and on-budget and aligned with PGS processes, procedures, and best practices. 
  • Where performing project management role, responsible for full project management cycle including creating project charter and plans, resource forecasting, schedule development and tracking, and leadership of the team. 
  • Leadership of Complex technical investigations according to established procedures 
  • Performs technical assessment and due diligence of new business / sourcing opportunities, including evaluation of technical risks and mitigations, resourcing, and financial requirements, and estimated high-level timelines. Recommendations feed into the GTEL & ES Sourcing process.  
  • Supports technical, process & product risk assessments. 
  • Provides updates on projects and technical activities, including risks and mitigations, via iTT reporting and the IMEx Leadership ecosystem structure. 
  • May be responsible for a project, program, or team operational budget. 

As Global Process Owner for Tech Transfer and Scale Up

  • Prepare PDCAs & seek endorsement from Sponsor and PMO​ 
  • Align with Sponsor on vision, value proposition & delivery, business direction  
  • Align with other GPOs on process scope and interdependencies and seek endorsement from Sponsor​ 
  • Benchmark on Process within the industry (external) and within network (internal)​ 
  • Actively lead the L2 core team and deliver on the execution of the simplified methodology with short timelines (‘sprints’)​ 
  • Drive simplifications & efficiencies (risk-based, while ensuring compliance)​ 
  • Challenge conventions, embrace creativity for novel and smarter processes​  
  • Actively remove barriers / roadblocks to achieving milestones​; Escalate timely to Sponsor (do not lose time)​ 
  • Author the GSOP (“what”). Approve the GWI (“how”)​ 
  • Advocate for QMS Revolution 2.0 with stakeholders​ 
  • Ensure on-time delivery of all phases of Revolution, including stage gate reviews​ 

Demonstrate Actionable Attitudes and IMEX behaviors / expectations throughout project and BAU​Continuous Improvement Leadership for NP&LCM

  • Engage with NPLCM T4 CI Loop lead for full picture across the organization, including alignment on reporting format 
  • Lead strategic and continuous improvement initiatives in NP- LCM 
  • Identify and implement opportunities to simplify ways of work, workflow automation, leveraging CI principles 
  • Drive harmonization of business processes across NP-LCM 

Lead LCM Governance forum within GTEL

  • Align LCM initiatives with Company Goals to optimize GTEL resource utilization and cost efficiency 
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with GTEL leadership 
  • Drive endorsement and implementation of lifecycle programs 
  • Facilitate LCM governance to prioritise and manage requests for GTEL resources – routine and ad-hoc 

   

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • BA/BS with at least 8 years of experience or MBA/MS with at least 7 years of experience or PhD/JD with at least 5 years of experience or MD/DVM with at least 4 years of experience
  • Technical expertise and familiarity with co-development, tech transfer, manufacturing or engineering.  
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple high-complexity, high-risk, high-dollar value projects and lead cross-functional teams at the T4-T5 level.  
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, and oversee and guide the work of colleagues from cross functional teams to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
  • Engaged, decisive, and action-driven leader with proven success in leading organizations through significant transformations and ongoing business and cultural changes.
  • Recognized leader who can influence both internally and externally.  
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a passion for DMAIC/Lean Six Sigma tools.  
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written Communication Skills  
  • Proven ability to synthesize significant volumes of complex information and data into clear priorities and focus on what is truly important for achieving project/program success.  
  • Comfortable in an extremely dynamic environment with the agility to change course quickly as new data and insights emerge.  
  • Demonstrated track record of excellent direct and matrix leadership skills and delivery of multidisciplinary objectives in a fast-paced technical setting with stringent timelines.  
  • Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder and change management skills. ​
  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements):

  • Hands-on experience in a process development and/or production / operational environment relevant to the role.    
  • People manager experience  
  • Worked with different modalities API, SI, DS, DSI, DP, SOD 
  • Six sigma / OpEX qualified 
  • Experience with project scheduling tools such as MS Project 
  • Strategic Thinking & Problem-Solving 
  • Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence knowledge 

Non-Standard Work Schedule, Travel or Environment Requirements

Some International Travel will be required, approximately 10-20%

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $156,600.00 to $261,000.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
