Technical Program Manager

Bellevue, WA Full Time

At Chewy, we strive to be the most trusted and convenient online destination for pet parents and our partners – vets and service providers – alike. Our success is measured by the happiness of the people and pets we serve, not simply by the amount of pet supplies we deliver. That’s why we continue to think outside the Chewy box to delight, surprise, and thank our loyal pet lovers.

Our Opportunity

Chewy is seeking a Technical Program Manager, Marketing Technology, based in Boston, MA or Seattle, WA, to drive the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives that power Chewy’s marketing technology ecosystem. This role will partner closely with Engineering, Marketing, Product, Applied Science, and Data teams to ensure programs are delivered on time, at scale, and aligned to measurable business outcomes.

As a TPM, you will operate at the intersection of technology and execution—owning end-to-end program delivery across data pipelines, automation platforms, and AI-driven marketing systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and drive end-to-end delivery of complex technical programs across Chewy’s marketing technology stack, from concept through launch and stabilization.
  • Translate business and marketing objectives into clear technical requirements, milestones, and execution plans in partnership with Engineering, Product, and Applied Science.
  • Coordinate and align work across software engineers, machine learning engineers, data engineers, and marketing technologists to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Develop and maintain program roadmaps, dependency maps, risk registers, and execution plans across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Identify, communicate, and proactively mitigate risks, tradeoffs, and execution challenges across teams and stakeholders.
  • Drive operational rigor through program reviews, status reporting, metrics, and retrospectives to continuously improve delivery effectiveness.
  • Partner with Marketing, Performance Marketing, Finance, Creative, and Product stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with campaign needs, optimization goals, and measurement frameworks.
  • Support the rollout of AI- and machine learning–driven capabilities such as value-based bidding, automation workflows, experimentation platforms, and budget optimization tools.
  • Enable change management and adoption by ensuring clear communication, documentation, and alignment across technical and non-technical teams.

What You’ll Need

  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, Program Manager, or similar role delivering large-scale, cross-functional technical initiatives.
  • Experience supporting AI/ML programs, experimentation platforms, or optimization systems.
  • Background working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments at scale.
  • Strong technical fluency with software systems, data pipelines, APIs, and cloud-based platforms, with the ability to engage deeply with engineering teams.
  • Proven ability to manage complex dependencies across engineering, product, data, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize technical detail into clear, executive-level updates.
  • Highly organized, execution-focused mindset with a bias toward action, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with marketing platforms and ecosystems such as Google Ads or SA360, Meta, TikTok, CDPs, or marketing clouds (e.g., Salesforce or Adobe), or comparable in-house systems.
  • Experience working with or alongside marketing technology, adtech, data platforms, or machine learning–driven systems in an eCommerce or performance marketing environment.
  • Experience partnering with Applied Science or Data Science teams.
