About AirAsia MOVE

AirAsia MOVE is a dynamic ASEAN-focused budget travel platform redefining how people experience and book travel. As part of Capital A, we’re building products that span flights, hotels, e-hailing, experiences, payments, and more—powered by a tech-first mindset and a relentless focus on customer experience. Join us in shaping the digital future of travel across the region.

About the Role

As Technical Program Manager, you are the single-threaded owner of execution for complex, cross-functional technical programs at AirAsia MOVE. You are the connective tissue between Engineering, Product, Design, Business, and Analytics — bringing structure, discipline, and visibility to the programs that matter most.

You are not a coordinator. You are a technically fluent execution leader who understands how systems are built, where dependencies break down, and how to keep high-stakes programs moving with clarity and accountability. You thrive in complexity, operate with a bias for outcomes, and give leadership the confidence that what was committed will be delivered.

What You Will Do

  • Technical Program Execution: Own end-to-end execution for assigned technical programs — maintaining a leadership-ready view of status, risks, dependencies, and timelines at all times. Ensure scope, milestones, and delivery commitments are clearly understood across all contributing teams.

  • System Design & Technical Alignment: Partner with Engineering, Product, and Design to define execution plans and validate that proposed technical solutions are viable, scalable, and aligned to best practices. Drive shared ownership of architecture decisions, integration points, and technical success criteria.

  • Complex Program Ownership: Lead programs with broad technical dependencies spanning multiple teams or functions. Own and maintain the program plan — including sequencing, critical paths, and dependency mapping. Run execution cadences including standups, syncs, and cross-team dependency reviews.

  • Execution Rituals & Reporting: Own structured reporting cadences with senior leadership — weekly reviews, monthly business reviews, and milestone checkpoints. Provide concise, well-structured updates on progress, risks, and tradeoffs. Define and track flow metrics including predictability, throughput, cycle time, and delivery health.

  • Technical Investment & ROI Tracking: Maintain visibility into engineering effort across programs and initiatives. Partner with Product, Business, and Analytics to assess the efficacy, ROI, and business impact of technical investments. Surface areas of inefficiency or execution drag and propose concrete course corrections.

  • Change & Priority Management: Own the change management system for all assigned programs. Clearly articulate the downstream impact of scope or priority changes on architecture, capacity, dependencies, and outcomes — enabling leadership to make informed, timely decisions.

What You Need

  • Experience: +7 years of driving execution across multi-team, cross-functional technology programs in a fast-paced digital or technology environment.

  • Strong experience driving execution across multi-team, cross-functional technology programs.

  • Deep understanding and experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) best practices.

  • Comfortable working with senior engineering, product, and business stakeholders.

  • Ability to understand and guide teams on technical solutions and systems.

  • Structured thinker with a bias for clarity, ownership, and outcomes.

  • Able to balance rigor with pragmatism in fast-moving environments.

Why Join AirAsia MOVE?
