Equifax is seeking a Technical Product Owner who is a master at bridging the desires of the customer and the capabilities of technology, removing barriers to data access and delivering insights. You will possess the technical product knowledge necessary to drive strategic conversations and enhance value to Equifax and its customers. This role is responsible for the overall performance of the product, overseeing it from inception and ideation through design, build, launch, growth and enhancement.

What you will do

• Connect with the Customer: Understand the needs of customers and stakeholders in a broader context in partnership with Product Management.

• Relationship Management: Develop partnership relationships with key engineering and QA counterparts and engage with Architecture teams as needed.

• Requirements & Decomposition: Participate in user interviews to understand requirements and decompose work into discrete increments that align with customer needs.

• Technical Guidance: Provide guidance to engineering and QA teams when clarity on business requirements is needed.

• Roadmap & Solutioning: Actively participate in solutioning, epic decomposition and initial t-shirt sizing sessions to groom the product backlog.

• MVP & Dependency Management: Help drive MVP definition with stakeholders and identify, capture and document dependencies required to deliver the plan.

• Backlog & Sprint Planning: Manage and prioritize the team backlog, align prioritization with Product Management and create sprint goals for the current and subsequent two sprints.

• Testing & Acceptance: Drive adherence to story acceptance criteria and partner with QE and Engineering leads to define testing approach and planning.

• Feedback & Adoption: Lead documentation and synthesize feedback from demos while monitoring adoption KPIs to propose improvements for future deliverables.

• Continuous Improvement: Understand drivers of team velocity and delays to propose prioritized changes in partnership with technology partners

What experience you need
 

• Education: Bachelor's degree in a related discipline strongly preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.

• Professional Experience: At least 5+ years of product owner experience in a cloud-based and/or SaaS environment.

• Agile Expertise: Working experience using Agile methodologies, facilitating Agile ceremonies and Lean product management.

• Technical Literacy: Working experience with data structures, data analytics, Tableau and AI concepts preferred.

• Collaboration: Experience working with cross-functional teams.

• Financial Oversight: Exposure and experience understanding and tracking capacity against the budget of product initiatives.

• Certification: Tableau or Cloud certification is strongly preferred.
