Role Summary
This role is instrumental in driving strategy, technical execution, and delivering impactful outcomes for the F5 Unified Console platform under the XOps framework. As part of the team, you will shape how operational teams across DevOps, SecOps, NetOps, and AppOps collect, analyze, and act on application-level telemetry through advanced Unified Console Observability and proactive AI-powered insights. Your contributions will help streamline cross-discipline workflows through intelligent integrations and actionable insights to support operators, security teams, and application owners.
You will collaborate across Engineering, Architecture, Product Management, Field Teams, and Customers to deeply understand operational challenges, validate real-world use cases, and ensure the product evolves to meet emerging needs. From competitive analysis to solution demonstrations and guidance, you will act as a technical leader driving innovation in observability, security, proactive AI-driven automation, and telemetry across various systems—including BIG-IP, syslog pipelines, Databases like Prometheus and ClickHouse, along with AI-enhanced data integrations.

Primary Responsibilities
Advocate for XOps: Serve as the voice of XOps teams (DevOps, SecOps, AppOps, NetOps) leveraging F5 Unified Console and AI Insights across their BIG-IP, NGINX, and XC environments.
Drive Observability Innovation: Translate complex customer workflows into actionable product requirements with a focus on consolidated telemetry, advanced performance analytics, and proactive AI-powered anomaly detection.
Shape Customer-Centric Solutions: Validate Unified Console interfaces, dashboards, telemetry workflows, and data models leveraging on-the-ground customer environments and feedback.
Enable XOps Team Success: Produce demos and deliver training highlighting how Unified Console Observability and AI-enhanced insights empower teams to respond faster and operate smarter.
Highlight Competitive Advantages: Create thought leadership content showcasing F5's strengths in observability, proactive security, and AI-driven automation compared to competitors.
Influence Product Strategy: Collaborate across teams to guide strategy, focusing on telemetry ingestion, dashboards, AI anomaly correlation, agentless observability, and cross-functional data integration.
Be a Technical XOps Subject-Matter Expert: Provide expertise on application telemetry, BIG-IP LTM insights, syslog pipelines, MCP telemetry, and market trends in AI-ops observability.
Analyze Competition: Evaluate competitor offerings in categories such as APM, NPM, SIEM, and AI-enhanced operations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
XOps Communication Expertise: Ability to articulate technical observability and AI concepts to both engineering teams and business stakeholders across DevOps, SecOps, AppOps, and NetOps teams.
Modern Telemetry Knowledge: Strong grasp of telemetry concepts, including HTTP, OpenTelemetry, REST APIs, syslog analysis, and application behavior modeling.
Proficiency in Observability Systems: Familiarity with tools like Prometheus, ClickHouse, Splunk, or similar platforms for metrics, logs, and real-time analysis.
Networking & Applications Background: Foundational knowledge of BIG-IP LTM, MCP telemetry integrations, and reverse proxy or load-balancing systems.
AI-Driven Observability Insight: Comfort working with AI/ML technologies to enable proactive operational insights or automation.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Exceptional communication skills to bridge technical and operational gaps across diverse teams.
Problem-Solving Instincts: Ability to distill complex data challenges into simple solutions, driving faster decision-making and measurable outcomes.
Qualifications
XOps Experience: 2+ years in Product Management, DevOps, Security Operations, or related technical customer-facing roles supporting XOps teams.
Operations Expertise: 3+ years working with application, infrastructure, networking, or security operations solutions in enterprise environments.
Telemetry Systems: Hands-on experience with observability platforms such as Prometheus, Splunk, Datadog, ELK Stack, or similar tools.
Product & Market Intelligence: Experience in researching and analyzing trends or competitive offerings in observability, AI automation, or security-driven telemetry.
Bonus Skills: Experience with BIG-IP or managing scalable load-balancing solutions in dynamic network environments.

The annual base pay for this position is: $179,200.00 - $268,800.00F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business.
