Own the end-to-end process of aggregating, validating, and publishing multi-sourced financial data, ensuring every data point meets rigorous, publication-grade quality standards before reaching our global audience.

  • Integrity & Resolution: Proactively identify data anomalies; investigate root causes and utilize data integrity tools to remediate errors in real-time.

  • Editorial Support: Provide specialized, high-stakes research to reporters and editors to ensure the statistical integrity of financial news stories.

  • Tooling & Automation: Design and implement automated validation processes (SQL/Python) to streamline research workflows and maintain specialized Excel-based tools.

  • Product Collaboration: Execute functional testing for data-driven product updates and serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for escalated customer inquiries.

  • Knowledge Leadership: Facilitate hands-on training for new staff and contribute to strategic, cross-departmental market data initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Market Fluency: Strong foundational knowledge of global financial markets (Equities, Fixed Income, FX, etc.) and a drive to stay ahead of market trends.

  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in SQL and Python for data automation, alongside VBA for the maintenance of legacy Excel tooling.

  • Analytical Rigor: Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to gather and interpret complex datasets under tight deadlines.

  • Platform Expertise: Professional experience with market data terminals such as FactSet, LSEG Workspace (Refinitiv), or Bloomberg.

  • Communication: Ability to translate complex data issues into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders in the newsroom and product teams.
