Raytheon’s System Integration and Test Capabilities (SI&TC) is seeking a Strategic Extended Threat Shield (SETS) Technical Manual (TM) Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the success of the UAE THAAD M&S program by driving the development of comprehensive technical manuals. In this highly impactful position, you will lead a talented team of writers and illustrators to craft operational and maintenance manuals for the cutting-edge LTAMDS Air Defense System. Your expertise and leadership will ensure the delivery of high-quality, mission-critical documentation that supports the operation and maintenance of advanced defense systems, directly contributing to global security and innovation.
 

What You Will Do

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to plan and execute installation and fielding of equipment modifications and upgrades.
  • Provide Technical proficiency to the customer and program leadership.
  • Participate in peer reviews for updates for SETS hardware and software engineering modernization.
  • Generate TM portion of Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) with required tasks, milestones, and dependencies. Monitor IMS.
  • Establish/maintain Cost Controls and Variance Analysis Reports.
  • Participate in all Estimate at Completion (EAC) activities.
  • Create and update monthly status reports and briefings.
  • Manage regular Integrated Process Team (IPT) Meetings to discuss status, budget, events, and/or issues.
  • Coordinate / support all Safety and Engineering Peer Reviews of TMs.
  • Coordinate / support all Validation requirements and events.
  • Support / attend Customer / Contractor Reviews.
  • Conduct quality review of materials.
  • Travel is required and estimated at approximately 20%, which will be domestic travel.
  • This position is based at Raytheon’s Woburn, MA location.
  • Must be able to obtain a BOE Certification

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
  • Experience with Cost Account Management (CAM) and/or bids/proposals.
  • Experience with MIL Standard 40051 and/or S1000D.
  • Experience with technical and/or functional leadership.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with the Eagle Publishing System, or similar publishing systems.
  • Agile mindset with the ability to pivot when circumstances change, or direction is set.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to effectively design and implement TM programs. 
  • Developing and implementing TM plans that align with business goals requires strategic thinking.
  • Managing the entire TM process, from design to evaluation, requires strong project management skills.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
