Position: Technical Lead - Power Platform (gn)

Location: Lisbon

Reporting to: Head of Platform

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Engineering Manager to drive the technical direction of our Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform initiatives. This is a pivotal role within the Platform team, responsible for leading a team of 4–8 developers, mentoring talent, and delivering high-quality, scalable solutions that support business transformation.

About you

You will have broad technical expertise across the software development lifecycle, and a passion for mentoring and developing a high performing team. This is a demanding role and the successful candidate will be motivated, organised, and self-starting. You will be based in our Lisbon office (we operate a hybrid/flexible working system) and be prepared to travel to our UK York office to maintain close relationships with the wider team.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

- Architect and implement tailored solutions using Dynamics 365 and Power Platform technologies. - Lead the design, development, and deployment of bespoke applications and integrations. - Provide hands-on support and guidance to developers, ensuring best practices and technical excellence.

SDLC Ownership

- Support the full software development lifecycle from design through development, testing, deployment, and support. - Ensure all stages of the SDLC are well-documented, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards. - Collaborate with SRE and support teams for smooth handovers and operational readiness.

Team Management & Mentoring

- Line manage and coach a team of developers, fostering growth and technical capability. - Oversee performance, career development, and technical mentoring. - Manage third-party resources as needed for burst capacity.

Governance & Standards

- Establish and enforce development standards and processes. - Monitor adherence and remediate deviations. - Ensure solutions meet quality, security, and supportability benchmarks.

Required Skills & Experience

- Expertise in Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365. - Experience with .NET development is a plus. - Ability to mentor and influence engineers and manage technical teams. - Comfortable with hands-on development and full lifecycle ownership. - Certification such as Dynamics 365 + Power Platform Solution Architect is advantageous. - Broad technical background beyond certifications, with real-world delivery experience.
