  • Advise design and construction partners on environmental risks, constraints, and mitigation measures.
  • Ensure effective communication and engage with clients, regulators, Indigenous communities, and project partners, serving as a technical representative on environmental issues throughout the lifecycle of projects.
  • Support major pursuits, including strategy development, proposal preparation, technical methods, and risk registers.
  • Oversee environmental compliance execution, including permitting pathways, regulatory approvals, monitoring programs, inspections, and corrective action processes.
  • Mentor and direct project multi-disciplinary teams and subconsultants, ensuring high-quality deliverables, professional development, and consistent technical practices across projects.
  • Identify risks and opportunities early, providing proactive guidance to project managers and other leaders to support informed, collaborative decision making and successful project delivery.
  • Champion continuous improvement, helping evolve Montrose’s tools and processes for delivering environmental scopes in the infrastructure sector.

  • Comprehensive understanding of environmental legislation, permitting requirements, and construction phase compliance requirements
  • A strong communicator and trusted advisor who can engage confidently with clients, regulators, Indigenous communities, partners, and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • A leader who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments.
  • The ability to anticipate risks, solve problems creatively, and positively influence outcomes at both strategic and technical levels.
  • A mentor and team builder
  • A relationship builder who can develop strong client partnerships and contribute to business development and opportunity pursuits
