POSITION OVERVIEW
BDC is undertaking a major CRM Evolution program, modernizing its Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform and accelerating its transition from on‑premise to cloud‑native, secure, and scalable solutions. This initiative is central to BDC’s digital transformation and directly supports mission‑critical financing and customer experience capabilities.
We are seeking a Technical Lead and Product owner for our DevOps squad who will play a pivotal dual role; owning the technical vision and delivery outcomes and acting as the primary bridge between business intent and technical execution.
The successful candidate will work in close proximity with Product Owners, project manager and delivery teams to translate business outcomes into robust, secure, and scalable technical solutions, while embedding DevOps practices and engineering excellence throughout the lifecycle.
This role is ideal for a hands‑on technical leader who enjoys shaping solutions end‑to‑end, influencing priorities, and ensuring that what is delivered truly meets business and operational needs.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
Provide a strong technical direction and establish a technical vision for development squad, resolving technical disagreements, and managing the technical quality of the team deliverables.
Lead backlog refinement, technical estimation, sequencing, and dependency management.
Own and manage the technical debt backlog, ensuring sustainability and long‑term platform health.
Ensure alignment between business value, technical feasibility, security, and architectural standards.
Ensure the team uses appropriate engineering practices, invests in continual improvements to tooling or technical debt and that the system evolves to meet its changing needs and environment.
Ensure the team applies modern software engineering and DevOps practices, including CI/CD as code, automation, and quality‑by‑design.
Champion Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) practices in an agile delivery context.
Proactively identify and remove technical blockers and risks, escalating when required.
Lead the implementation of development and test environments up to production.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Professional & Educational Experience
7–10 years of experience in software engineering, including technical leadership roles.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Minimal competencies / Essential skills
Bilingualism and excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong Leadership, mentoring and communication skills.
Mastery of the concepts of object-oriented programming. Good knowledge of SOLID design principles and design patterns
Advanced experience with CICD pipeline as code in Azure DevOps.
Programming experience in Microsoft .NET, C#, SQL, HTML, XML, JavaScript, JQuery, ODATA, JSON, PowerShell and Web services.
Experience developing robust automated tests
Experience with modern authentication and authorization mechanisms (OpenID Connect & OAuth)
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills
Integrity, honesty and transparency
Professionalism, thoroughness, attention to detail and strong work ethic
Complementary skills
Knowledge and experience in Financial Services is an asset
Understanding of containerization and Cloud Services such as Docker, Kubernetes, Tanzu
Good understanding of event-driven architecture, and knowledge of event streaming and messaging systems such as Kafka and ActiveMQ
Hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 365 configurations and development
Experience working with Relational databases like SQL server and MySQL
Proficient in developing with the various resources of the Azure cloud environment, as well as cloud design models
