  • Availability to work onsite in Lexington Park, Maryland for the duration of the summer internship.
  • U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance; clearance processing will begin immediately upon selection.
  • Academic or project‑based experience applying data science techniques such as data analysis, statistical modeling, or machine learning.
  • Availability for full‑time work during the summer, with interest in part‑time continuation during the academic year.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands‑on experience building data science solutions, such as developing models, pipelines, or analytical prototypes (academic, research, or internship).
  • Programming experience using data‑focused languages or tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, or similar).
  • Experience working with real‑world, messy, or unstructured datasets.
  • Prior exposure to government, laboratory, IRAD, or cleared research environments.
