In this role you will be responsible for creating and maintaining the turbocharger product documentation and making it available to engine builders, end customers and service stations. You will be part of a small, motivated documentation team, which is affiliated with the technical service. This is a fixed term position for two years, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent role thereafter.

Your responsibilities:

  • Professional and target group-oriented creation and updating of Engine Builder Manuals, Operation Manuals, Working Instructions, Spare Parts Illustrations, etc.
  • Publication of information products for our target groups: end users, engine builders & service stations.
  • Independent research of all necessary data and information, which are necessary for processing the orders.
  • Leading or collaborating in documentation projects. This involves close cooperation with the Product Development, Design and Service Departments.
  • Assistance in the further development and modernization of the processes, workflows and information distribution of the Product Documentation.

Your profile:

  • Mechanical background and/or Higher Education in Technical School or degree in Mechanical Engineering. 
  • Experience in the field of Technical Documentation.  
  • Formal Education/Certification in technical writing is an added advantage or willingness to continue learning and professional development. 
  • Knowledge of product liability, product safety and legal regulations or willingness to learn more about them. 
  • Structured analytical thinking.  
  • Understanding of Modular Topic Based Authoring & Rule Based Writing. 
  • Independent, precise and punctual way of working. 
  • Knowledge and experience of using Component Content Management Systems (CCMS). 
  • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign is an added advantage. 
  • Good written and spoken English. German language skills would be an added advantage.
