Technical Data is essential for safe and efficient aircraft operations, as we develop and deliver all maintenance and material documentation to our customers. It is the second most critical deliverable after the aircraft itself. This position makes you a key interface with our customers, directly influencing customer satisfaction. The increasing demands from customers and airworthiness authorities, alongside the complexity of our products, make this role both thrilling and vital to Airbus's reputation.

The world of Technical Data is rapidly evolving. Joining us now means you will be at the forefront, helping to shape the future of how Airbus delivers maintenance information. Our core mission is to equip our customers (Airlines, MROs, Lessors) with essential manuals (AMM, TSM & IPC) for safe, efficient, and compliant maintenance operations throughout the aircraft lifecycle. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining and keeping updating these manuals, working closely with the Design Office and our Suppliers.
Our Team & Scope
SIDY4 offers a broad view of Aircraft Systems, focusing primarily on ATA chapters 24, 33, 36, 47, and 49 for all Airbus Civil Programs (SA, LR, A380, A350). You will be part of a transnational organization (SIDY), collaborating with mirror teams in Germany, France, and the UK.-----Your Key Responsibilities as a TDE
A. Technical Data Authoring and Quality Assurance
Lead Technical Data Delivery: Manage and coordinate authoring activities, ensuring content creation and updates. Meet specifications, contractual commitments, quality standards, and budget objectives.
Proactive Problem-Solving: Take ownership of identifying and solving roadblocks that could delay manual updates within your assigned ATA chapters.
Continuous Improvement: Constantly assess existing documentation for potential customer issues. Define and implement improvements to enhance quality and process efficiency.
Stakeholder Interface: Act as the critical link between Technical Data, customers, and all internal and external partners (DO, Subcontractors, Programs, etc.).
Configuration Management: Manage system configuration at the MSN level for all written procedures.
B. Subcontracting Management
Oversee Subcontractors: Manage deliveries and monitor the quantitative and qualitative performance of subcontractors supporting authoring activities.
Performance Evaluation: Define and analyze KPIs to assess general performance.
C. Design Criteria Integration
Impact Analysis: Evaluate Aircraft Design Criteria (Mod, Service Bulletin, MMEL, CDL, MPD, etc.) to detect their impact on technical documentation.
Ensure Compliance: Guarantee the seamless integration of all affected design criteria into the technical manuals.
D. Innovation and Transnational Collaboration
Drive Change: Actively participate in transnational and trans-organizational projects to improve our products and processes, sharing daily experience and feedback.
Process Standardization: Play a key role in the continuous improvement of processes, Technical Data tools, and the standardization of ways of working across the transnational organization.
E. Customer Support Excellence
Direct Customer Support: Manage and respond to customer questions using the Tech Request Tool, providing efficient and continuous support to improve satisfaction and detect potential safety impacts.
Career Growth: Based on your experience, you may take on transversal missions such as a TDCI (Technical Data Customer Interface), coordinating major Technical Data topics for a portfolio of airlines/lessors.

Your Background and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or similar, or a completed technical apprenticeship with further training.
Experience: Previous experience in direct customer contact and meeting tight deadlines is a plus.

Manage core technical data activities, including authoring, verification, and validation, subcontractor management, and customer support. You will ensure the analysis and integration of all design criteria affecting technical data products, and propose continuous improvements for TD Manuals, processes and IT tools.
