About the role
AIG is seeking a Technical Cyber Leader Iberia to contribute to their industry leading the technical side of Underwriting. Areas of focus will be around E&O, Technology, Media and Cyber Liability. In this role, you will be responsible for underwriting and servicing an existing renewal book as well as soliciting new business opportunities. This role includes constant interaction with top nationwide brokers and insureds as AIG’s client base consists of Fortune 500 companies as well as major local regional players who elicit tailored and unique solutions. Through this role, underwriters gain access to a highly evolving and dynamic atmosphere that involves exposure to major influencers in the insurance, technology, and legal fields.
This position typically works with accounts/clients which are greater in scope and complexity. The role is expected to have increased involvement in the management, development and training of the staff and increased responsibility for the business results of the unit.
What you need to know:
Underwrite Assigned risks: Cyber and PI Tech, focused on technological risks.
Support consistent underwriting best practices, in accordance with underwriting guidelines, to ensure rating, pricing, profitability, and structuring adequacy.
Ensure that Cyber business is conducted, processed and administered in accordance with the prevailing applicable policies, procedures and agreed service levels.
Work with the Head of Cyber in managing the achievement of the business plan
Exercising judgment, negotiating and making sound business decisions effectively based on level of authority.
Provide technical direction/assesment to management, underwriters, producers and claims adjusting personnel
Provide technical support and develop solutions to their issues/concerns (system, guidelines, training, reports, new project request, product amendments).
Utilize various daily reports and constant monitoring of adherence to underwriting requirements and guidelines to oversee assigned book of business.
Work with the Insured, its broker and outside counsel on contract terms and conditions, as well as pricing, terms & conditions, and deal structure for complex risks.
Maintain a list of target and generate submission to meet NB targets
Develop strong, long term relationships with brokers and clients to profitably grow a book of business.
Provide superior customer service to brokers and clients.
Assist Front Desk Unit/Customer Service Group
Job Profile - Requirements and skills - What we’re looking for:
Relevant experience in Commercial insurance (Financial Lines), Agency or Brokerage or IT and/or Data Protection consulting preferred
Bachelor’s degree (Information Technologies or Risk Management, Law, Economics, Business Administration degree preferred).
Fluent English skills (written & spoken)
Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
Knowledge of international security standards including product features, forms, regulatory environment and risks etc. as well as knowledge of Risks analysis methodologies
Demonstrated sales, marketing, and relationship building experience.
Very strong verbal and written communication skills.
Negotiating, communications and presentations skills
Ability to work in dynamic, rapidly changing environment, adapting to changing requirements and collaborating with a wide range of colleagues to quickly deliver solutions.
Proficient with underwriting analytical tools and technology
Outgoing and entrepreneurial personality
