About the Role:
The TechOps Engineer plays a crucial role in the successful implementation and deployment of Application solutions on hosted and on-prem customer servers. This position involves working closely with cross-functional teams. The TechOps Engineer provides technical expertise, troubleshooting assistance, and user support during the deployment process.
Responsibilities:
Deployment Planning and Coordination:
Collaborate with cross functional Teams and stakeholders to plan deployment activities.
Develop deployment strategies, timelines, and resource requirements.
Coordinate with different teams to ensure smooth execution of deployment plans.
Technical Expertise:
Understand the technical aspects of the deployed systems or software.
Provide guidance and support to teams involved in the deployment process.
Identify technical challenges or risks and propose solutions or workarounds.
User Support and Training:
Assist end-users in understanding and utilizing the deployed systems or software.
Provide training sessions to familiarize users with new functionalities as required.
Address user queries, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions.
Create and maintain deployment documentation:
Including procedures, user guides, and troubleshooting resources.
Prepare deployment progress reports and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.
Document and track any deployment-related issues or risks for future reference.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to optimize the deployment process and enhance efficiency.
Propose and implement process improvements, automation, or tools to streamline deployments.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices related to deployment methodologies.
Skill Sets:
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or other similar providers.
Proficiency in cloud services like compute, storage, networking, databases, and security.
Understanding of cloud deployment models, such as Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS).
Proficient in system administration tasks, including server provisioning, configuration management, and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of networking concepts such as IP addressing, subnets, routing, load balancing, and firewalls in cloud environments.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMWare, Hyper-V, or KVM.
Fundamentals of Business Accounting
Analyse various financial statements and checking accuracy
Invoice processing in accounts payable and receivable
Basics of Payroll Management
Understanding of cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, network security groups, and data protection.
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation would be big plus
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in deployment support, software implementation, or a similar role.
