Job Summary

The Technical Consultant serves as a trusted advisor to customers, leveraging deep technical expertise in hardware, software, and services to deliver tailored solutions that address complex business challenges. This role combines consultative selling with solution design, identifying opportunities to optimize customer environments and drive business outcomes. The Technical Consultant partners closely with sales teams and cross-functional stakeholders to influence strategic decisions, create innovative solutions, and ensure customer success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consultative Solution Design
    Develop and present comprehensive solutions that integrate hardware, software, and services to meet customer needs and align with their strategic objectives.
  • Opportunity Identification
    Analyze customer environments and business goals to uncover gaps and recommend solutions that drive efficiency, scalability, and cost optimization.
  • Customer Engagement
    Build strong relationships with key decision-makers, acting as a trusted advisor and influencing technology adoption through compelling presentations and demonstrations.
  • Sales Enablement
    Collaborate with account managers and sales teams to develop strategic account plans, support proposal development, and contribute to revenue growth.
  • Technical Leadership
    Lead technical discussions, workshops, and proof-of-concept engagements to validate solutions and demonstrate value.
  • Integration and Implementation Guidance
    Provide expertise on integrating hardware and software platforms, ensuring seamless deployment and compliance with best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement
    Identify opportunities for process automation, data-driven insights, and innovative approaches to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
  • Mentorship
    Support junior team members by sharing technical knowledge, best practices, and fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in technical consulting, solution architecture, or pre-sales roles with a focus on hardware, software, and services.
  • Proven track record in consultative selling and solution-based engagements.

Preferred Skills

  • Expertise in IT infrastructure, cloud computing (AWS, Azure), virtualization, and enterprise software.
  • Strong understanding of hardware platforms, networking, and integration strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for executive-level engagements.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value propositions.
  • Familiarity with SaaS, API integrations, and security best practices.

Salary:

The on-target earnings (OTE) range for this role is $100,000 to $145,000 USD
annually with a 80%/20% (salary/incentive) mix. There are additional
opportunities for pay in the form of bonuses and/or equity (applies to United
States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related
knowledge, skills, and experience.
