We’re currently looking for a Technical Business Analyst SCM to join our team in Smyrna TN.

The IS Specialist researches, plans, and recommends technology and strategy solutions to meet business needs, identifying problems and proposing improvements that help the organization achieve its goals.

A Day in the Life:   

  • Business & Systems Analysis: Investigate processes, technology, cost, and strategy to identify improvements and align business needs with IT solutions.
  • Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Conduct sessions with business users, create user stories, define acceptance criteria, and prepare detailed business process flows.
  • Technical Design & Testing: Lead high-level technical design, review design documents, and develop comprehensive test plans including unit, system, integration, and user acceptance.
  • Incident & Change Management: Manage incidents and problems across third-party vendors, and oversee change management processes to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Project & Resource Management: Apply agile methodologies to deliver solutions efficiently, while managing resources, risks, and implementation plans.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Liaise with internal departments and external partners, translating business requirements into technical solutions and fostering consensus across teams.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate familiarity with programming languages, operating systems, cloud platforms, and tools for cost analysis like TCO.

Who We’re Looking for:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related field.
  • Min 5 years of related experience at a professional level.

Technical Skills

  • Office 365 suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access)
  • Knowledge of Project Management/SDLC methodologies like Agile and Kaizen
  • Knowledge of Cloud Technologies
  • Mainframe and z/OS experience
  • Experience in COBOL programming
  • Oracle, DB2 and similar Relational Database
  • SQL skills

Preferred Experience with:

  • Web Service Development
  • Java, Microsoft Visual Studio, .NET or other web development tools
  • Front end web technologies (ie Angular JS)
  • Middleware (Informatica, IBM MQ, CLEO, Federation Server)
  • Linux
  • AWS practitioner certification
  • Supply Chain Management and Manufacturing Systems
  • Production Ordering, Planning, Scheduling and Sequencing systems
  • Automotive manufacturing
