Technical Business Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Business Analyst to join our team.  The Analyst will use their Technical Data skills to Extract Transform and Load (ETL) data across various sources to create visually compelling reports and dashboards in Power BI for the Sales, Finance and Accounting teams within Cerence.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Extract Transform and Load data from various sources to create reports and dashboards in Power BI to Identify trends and insights through data analysis to drive business growth
  • Extract financial and usage-based product data from our ERP to create self-service reports with Role Level Security that enable our sales organization.
  • Build, maintain and continuously improve our IR KPI Dashboard.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Systems IT, FP&A and Sales to optimize integration and reporting across our CRM, ERP and CMS systems. 
  • Support ad-hoc data requests as needed

Required Technical Skills:

  • Python Experience (Preferred but not required)
  • Workday Data Source and Business Objects (Preferred but not required)
  • Electronic Data interchange (EDI) Experience (Preferred but not required)
  • SQL Server
  • ETL (Extract Transformation & load)
  • Calling Rest API and Page Handling
  • Power BI
    • Rational Tables
    • DAX Programming Language
    • Role Level Security experience.
    • Data Source Connectivity
    • Power Query

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus minimum of 3 Year experience working in similar role
  • Prior experience working for a multi-national tech company.
  • Working knowledge of the Enterprise B2B Sales Process, preferably within the software and or automative industry.
  • Working knowledge of key Revenue Accounting principles (ACS 606).
