Managed Service and Channel Service Delivery

Team Charter:

This position is within the Managed Service and Channel Service Delivery Domain under the Digital Technologies Organization, providing Technical Architect support for the Channel delivery tool, CSDP. The Channel Service Delivery team is responsible for fostering strong collaboration with Channel Business to identify transformation opportunities, prioritize initiatives effectively, and drive execution from conception to implementation. The team's engineering portfolio focuses on building a robust platform, defining sound architectural principles, maintaining high coding standards, ensuring code quality, optimizing platform performance, deploying proactive monitoring solutions, and leading the development team to successful project delivery.

Role Description:

Technical Architect: Owns the translation of business and product requirements into detailed, scalable technical designs and solution architectures. Responsible for defining system interactions, data flows, non‑functional requirements, and implementation patterns that enable development teams to execute effectively. Leads technical design and architecture reviews, ensures solution feasibility and standards alignment, defining sound architectural principles, maintaining high coding standards and acts as the primary technical authority bridging product intent and delivery execution.

Job Summary:

  • Exhibit robust techno-functional expertise to accurately interpret business requirements and design a dynamic architecture that accommodates adaptable business processes.

  • Establish effective collaboration with the vendor engineering team and demonstrate leadership skills to guide the Software Development Life Cycle, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.

  • Establish effective coordination with both Upstream and Downstream IT applications to understand upcoming changes, define strategies for adapting to dependent modifications, and ensure uninterrupted tool operation without any downtime.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis to identify and implement performance improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing application performance and stability.

  • Define and empower the development team to follow coding standards, design principles, reporting requirements, and an effective architecture framework.

  • Enhance the Channel Delivery tool by leveraging advanced AI technologies through research, exploration, and implementation of Generative AI and Agentic AI capabilities.

  • Investigate affordable and efficient AI models from various vendors and facilitate discussions with the business to balance options in order to secure Sponsorship for AI development.

  • Enhanced DevOps capabilities by leading the successful migration to GitHub Cloud and Harness, facilitating efficient code deployment to application environments via streamlined pipelines.

  • Enhance the monitoring functions of the Channel Delivery tool through the development of a user-focused dashboard, incorporating comprehensive dashboards for funnel management, platform management, license management, release management, and executive reporting.

  • Oversee and regulate AI use cases within Managed Service and Channel Service Delivery Organization. Advise the team during the AI opportunities intake process, offering technical consultation to AI advocates on platform selection, model development, architectural guidance, and recommended development strategies.

  • Assist the Channel Delivery team by providing project management support, establishing strong collaboration with the business, and overseeing projects from conception to completion.

  • Provide support as the Portfolio Manager overseeing all projects within the Channel Innovation POA. Collaborate closely with Delivery and Business Project Managers, encouraging them to update governance slides with the most recent status and assisting in resolving project bottlenecks to ensure progress remains on track. Additionally, lead project governance discussions and prepare executive presentations summarizing project updates.

Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:

Education and Experience Required:

  • First-level university. degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred.

  • Typically, 8-10 years of related experience in IT.

  • Typically, 3-4 years of project management experience

Knowledge and Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of HP Channel processes, ServiceNow Technology, industry trends, DevOps and AI technology including Agentic AI capabilities

  • Excellent communication skills (i.e., written, verbal, presentation), leadership, and influence skills. Mastery in English and local language as well as other languages as required.

  • Extensive business expertise across various process domains, complemented by outstanding project management and process development capabilities. Skilled at advancing process improvements through the application of industry-standard quality enhancement tools and methodologies.
