As a Technical Application Scientist II, you will partner with researchers and customers to resolve complex chemistry-related questions that directly impact their success and the effective use of Thermo Fisher Scientific products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions, while continuously expanding your technical knowledge across a diverse chemical product portfolio.

A Day in the Life:
Provide expert-level technical support for Thermo Fisher Scientific chemical product portfolios by addressing customer inquiries via telephone, email, and web chat.
Own and manage technical cases from initial inquiry through resolution, ensuring timely, high-quality customer support.
Collaborate with internal teams, including R&D, Quality Assurance, and Product Management, to resolve complex technical issues and identify effective solutions.
Maintain accurate, detailed records of customer interactions in CRM systems to support service excellence and continuous improvement.
Proactively recommend enhancements to technical knowledge bases, websites, and other company-managed resources to improve usability and customer experience.
Invest in your professional development through ongoing product training, continuous learning, and exposure to new applications and emerging technologies.
Participate in cross-functional projects and special initiatives to broaden technical expertise and enhance career development.
Keys to Success:
Education and Experience
Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline required.
1+ years of hands-on laboratory experience, with demonstrated ability to troubleshoot experiments and interpret scientific data required (equivalent combinations of education and relevant work experience may be considered).
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality scientific support.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $60,000.00–$80,000.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
