Technical Application Administrator – Insite 360

Position Summary:

Circle K Retail Systems is seeking a highly skilled Technical Application Administrator, responsible for managing, administering and optimizing the use of Gilbarco’s Insite 360 Forecourt monitoring Tool (I360) across all of Circle K’s North American Fuel sites.  The I360 Forecourt tool is a cloud based externally hosted application that provides continuous monitoring data and maintenance access to forecourt dispensers.

 Reporting to the Retail Systems Engineering (RSE) Manager, in this position you will be responsible for   maintaining and monitoring the Circle K I360 instance and working with stakeholders to optimize I360 capability and data to support business objectives. You will partner with Ck’s external service provider, Invenco by Gilbarco, to monitor application stability and performance and to ensure continuous monitoring of critical forecourt equipment. Additionally, you will work closely with internal teams, including Global technology, Operations, and field technicians, to troubleshoot issues, support on-going dispenser maintenance upgrades and explore new initiatives.

The ideal candidate should possess technical expertise in application administration, strong problem-solving skills, and preferably a comprehensive understanding of systems in the retail and petroleum sectors.

Responsibilities:

I360 Administration & Configuration

  • Administer and configure CK Insite 360 Forecourt Instance to align with the organization’s operational needs.
  • Ensure that all eligible sites and forecourt devices are accurately integrated and monitored within the CK’s Insite 360 system.
  • Maintain and update system configurations, including device profiles, alerts (as needed), Software and firmware versions, Key versions
  • Develop & administer Site on- boarding / Off boarding processes

2. System Monitoring & Performance Optimization

  • Continuously monitor the Insite 360 system's performance to ensure the uptime and health of critical infrastructure such as fuel dispensers,
  • Work with Invenco to Implement and execute proactive measures to identify and mitigate performance issues or potential system failures.

3. Troubleshooting & Technical Support

  • Provide tier 3 level support for troubleshooting and resolving system-related incidents and service requests.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues related to the Insite 360 system, including integration issues with forecourt devices or network connectivity.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors (e.g., Gilbarco, third-party vendors) to resolve complex technical issues.

4. User & Access Management

  • Manage user accounts, roles, and access permissions within the Insite 360 application, ensuring security and compliance with internal policies.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users (operations, field technicians) on system functionalities and best practices.
  • Assist in defining and enforcing security protocols for system access and data integrity.

5. Data Management & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date system records and logs, ensuring full documentation of system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and incident resolutions.
  • Develop and maintain regular performance reports, including uptime, incident resolutions, and system optimization recommendations.
  • Support ongoing reporting and maintenance of media configurations within I360
  • Support ongoing reporting and maintenance of Welcome screens within I360 

6. System Upgrades & Patches

  • Communicate upgrades and routine maintenance of the I360 system to ensure visibility and stability
  • Test and validate new features or updates, ensuring that they are implemented without disruptions to daily operations.

7. Collaboration & Communication

  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams (IT, Operations, Maintenance) and external vendors regarding Insite 360 technical matters.
  • Provide timely and accurate communication to stakeholders about system status, issues, and improvements.

8. Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization

  • Identify opportunities to streamline system processes and improve the efficiency of forecourt monitoring operations.
  • Provide recommendations for improvements or enhancements to the system based on feedback from end-users and operational observations.

Requirements:

       

       Technical:

  • Proficient in system configuration and administration, with a solid understanding of monitoring systems, and preferably petroleum retail technology
  • Proficient in basic Office platform tools – Excel, Word, Power point.
  • Technical knowledge of Petroleum Retail store systems (Fuel Dispensers, POS, etc..) systems is preferred

Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience as an application administrator or similar technical role
  • Experience in managing application monitoring, troubleshooting, and system maintenance, preferably in the petroleum or retail industry
  • Prior experience with Gilbarco’s Insite 360, or a similar forecourt monitoring tool, is highly preferred.
