The University of Miami’s UMIT Department has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Technical Analyst to work in a hybrid capacity based in Coral Gables, Florida.
The Technical Analyst facilitates the implementation and administration of data integration, management, and reporting. Moreover, the incumbent processes security access to relevant systems and reviews the flow of data from various subsystems into the general ledger. The Technical Analyst 1 also participates in month-end and year-end fiscal processes.
Core Responsibilities:
Analyzes customer’s issues, defines problems, and reconciles to technical solutions.
Acts as data custodian and systems administrator for the department pertaining to requests involving access to relevant systems.
Assists with the development, testing, and implementation of new interfaces.
Reviews the subsystem control log for accuracy and completeness according to system requirements.
Updates the month-end closing and parameter changes.
Updates and maintains mechanical journal entries after coordination of set requirements.
Maintains and troubleshoots relevant systems’ interfaces.
Uses data collect screens to verify pending data collect batches.
Inputs journal entries into the FRS or other applicable system during critical times.
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
Department Specific Functions
1. Provides Tier 2 technical support for various enterprise applications, including but not limited to:
• Microsoft Office 365 suite (excluding Outlook and OneDrive).
• Adobe Creative Cloud for design and multimedia applications.
• Google Workspace for productivity and collaboration tools.
• Box for cloud storage and file sharing.
• Qualtrics for survey and research data collection.
• Additional applications and services as required by the department.
2. Troubleshoots complex issues and provides advanced technical support for users encountering problems with these applications.
• Assists in resolving connectivity, performance, and integration issues.
• Participates in the implementation and administration of additional enterprise applications and services as necessary.
3. Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of enterprise applications with existing systems and workflows.
• Facilitates the development, testing, and implementation of new interfaces and integrations.
• Reviews and maintains relevant systems' interfaces to ensure data integrity and consistency.
4. Provides training and documentation for end-users on enterprise applications and related processes.
• Develops training materials and conducts sessions to educate end-users on best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
• Creates and maintains documentation for enterprise applications, including user guides and troubleshooting resources.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
