Tech MES Infrastructure Manager

Are you ready to take ownership of critical infrastructure supporting GSK's Siemens MES platform and play a central role in ensuring system availability, scalability, and cybersecurity? Join us as an Tech MES Infrastructure Manager, where you will lead and coordinate end-to-end infrastructure lifecycle activities in a highly regulated, global environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:
• Act as the primary owner and subject matter expert for Siemens MES 
infrastructure, ensuring consistent platform availability and secure operations

Deliver continuous improvements, simplifications, experiments and 
innovations to enhance user productivity, increase system reliability and 
reduce technical debt/risk
• Lead uptime and downtime planning activities, including coordination with 
global teams and local operations.
• Drive infrastructure lifecycle management: from obsolescence planning and 
patching, to initiating and overseeing new infrastructure deployments.
• Collaborate with the global infrastructure team and external vendors to align 
local needs with global strategy.
• Ensure scalability and performance of the platform by supporting architecture 
development and proactive planning.
• Coordinate asset requests, capacity planning, and track infrastructure delivery 
executed by internal or vendor teams.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with cybersecurity and audit 
standards.


Basic Qualifications:
• Experience in managing IT infrastructure for business-critical applications.
• Proven skills in coordination of cross-functional and cross-regional teams.
• Understanding of patch management, system maintenance, and infrastructure 
compliance.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to 
business stakeholders.

Demonstrates project management skills (coordination, project planning & 
resourcing, cost management, problem solving and communication)


Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, HyperV), cloud 
hosting technologies, and database management (e.g. Oracle, Postgres) 
• Understanding of network concepts including VLANs, Firewalls, Active 
Directory and basic hardware components.
• Familiarity with infrastructure provisioning and vendor collaboration.
• Experience in manufacturing or highly regulated environments (e.g., pharma, 
healthcare).

The annual base salary in Poland for new hires in this position ranges from PLN 235,500 to PLN 392,500 gross, taking into account a number of factors including the candidate’s skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. Depending on the role and internal policies, the position may also be eligible for a bonus (if applicable and based on defined, non-discretionary criteria) and/or awards for exceptional performance (granted at the employer’s discretion). All statutory benefits will be maintained in accordance with Polish law. Other benefits may also be offered, which may include private healthcare, additional paid days off, life insurance, private pension plan and fully paid parental leave & care of family member leave.
