We’re seeking a highly skilled and experienced Microsoft Customer Engineer specializing in Microsoft Teams. In this customer-facing role, you will work closely with clients to empower their employees, maximize productivity, and drive the successful operation of clients Teams. Excellent communication skills are vital as you engage with both technical and non-technical contacts and leadership at customer organizations.
Responsibilities:
Work directly with customers to understand their Microsoft Teams requirements and provide expert guidance and support.
Deliver technical solutions to address customer issues, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of Microsoft Teams.
Conduct technical workshops, training sessions, and webinars to educate customers on the best practices and new features of Microsoft Teams.
Assist in the deployment, configuration, and customization of Microsoft Teams and related applications to meet customer needs.
Document technical solutions, best practices, and troubleshooting steps to build a knowledge base for internal and customer use.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to Microsoft Teams clients, meetings, calls, and integrations.
Complete all assigned, mandatory training within the timeframe provided.
Conduct and/or participate in regularly scheduled 1:1 meetings with your direct manager and/or direct reports.
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in customer-facing roles related to systems architecture, administration, operations, software support, and IT consulting, with a focus on Microsoft Teams or similar platforms.
BA/BS in Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Proven communication and interpersonal skills in customer-facing environments.
Advanced technical skills in Unified Communications, including Microsoft Teams architecture and telephony infrastructure.
Experience with Microsoft Teams administration, policies, and compliance.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite and strong knowledge of related solutions.
Familiarity with scripting and automation tools like PowerShell.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Teams Administrator Associate.
Optional Skills:
Advanced knowledge in application integration and contact centers with Teams.
Networking skills with DNS, firewall, and load balancing.
Skills in creating Azure Functions and advanced scripting with PowerShell and Microsoft Graph.
Relevant Certifications:
Microsoft Certified: Teams Administrator Associate or other relevant certifications.
Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate.
