Do you want to lead a team operating at the heart of the large corporate insurance market? As Team Manager Property Insurance Exchange - Fire, you combine leadership, strategy, and innovation to maintain and expand our number one position in the Dutch insurance exchange market.
What you are going to do
As Team Manager Property NN Beurs Underwriting you are the driving force behind a team of 14 professionals. Together you ensure optimal commercial service for our exchange brokers and the management, profitability and growth of our portfolio. This portfolio contains a wide diversity of risks. The portfolio consists of three parts. An important spearhead is the so-called open broked market where we insure complex (fire) risks 100% or in co-insurance. In addition, we serve the brokers via Property Exchange Facilities, where dealmaking and data-driven portfolio management are central. Finally, NN has a strong position in the Dutch tender market of municipalities and other government institutions. We want to achieve sustainable growth in the portfolio.
You are responsible for managing the team so that mutual cooperation and operational performance improve. Your role goes beyond operational management: you are a strategic sparring partner who gives direction to change. You ensure that processes are future-proof and that we maintain our number 1 position in a market that is constantly changing. You support the underwriters in knowledge development of the products and portfolio to provide added value to the brokers in the underwriting process.

Change Management: You lead improvement initiatives and foster a culture of innovation. You have proven experience guiding teams through change and creating buy-in
Digitalization & AI: You understand how technology transforms our business and translate trends in digitalization and AI into concrete process and customer service improvements

Who you are
You are a strong business partner for the MT and stakeholders. You fit perfectly into our team if you have:
Fluency in Dutch (spoken and written)
At least 3 years of leadership experience, with strong operational and strategic management skills
Affinity with the large corporate insurance market and interest in learning all aspects of the exchange channel
Proven expertise in change management and guiding teams through transitions
Knowledge of digitalization and AI technologies and the ability to translate these into practical applications
An entrepreneurial, inspiring, and resilient mindset
Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field
Who you will work with
The department consists of 28 underwriters across three branches: Property, Transport, and Casualty. The teams work closely together. Initially, you will lead a team of 14 professional Property underwriters with a strong commercial drive to succeed within our underwriting guidelines. You will also collaborate closely with the Beurs MT and act as the link to Salesforce professionals and IT. Given the strong connection with brokers, you will regularly interact with clients.
