About the Role
You will provide clinical and operational leadership for the Young Adult Complex Disability Service ensuring delivery of an efficient, effective and clinically relevant service.
You will manage day to day clinical operations of the YACDS staff, approve roster changes or staff re-distribution where applicable, monitor and support team activity achievement, manage recruitment activities, staff orientation and staff performance development and management, provide clinical and professional advice and supervision to the team, lead case conference and other team specific meetings, and ensure the staff operates within accepted best practice guidelines.
Classifications for this position will range from the below dependent on qualification:
YY7 Grade 4A Registered Nurse ($107,962.40 per annum pro rata)
SC31 - SC32 Grade 3 Social Worker ($104,135.20 - $107,796.00per annum pro rata)
VG3 - VG4 Grade 3 Occupational Therapist ($104,135.20 - $107,796.00per annum pro rata)
VW6 - VW7 Grade 3 Speech Pathologist ($104,135.20 - $107,796.00per annum pro rata)

The Young Adult Complex Disability Service
This position is part of the Health Independence Programs (HIP). The intent of HIP is to deliver improved outcomes for clients and to support hospital demand management and flow.
The Young Adult Complex Disability Service (YACDS) is a state-wide multidisciplinary service and aims to help patients, their families and carers to transition into the adult health care system from children’s health services. The YACDS is available to adults, aged under 40, with a history of developmental disability such as cerebral palsy or other medical conditions. Intervention provided includes assessment, treatment and short term management which is time-limited and goal–orientated.
