Your opportunity

For more than 15 years, Mission Australia Housing has provided safe, affordable homes across five states and territories. With 4,500+ homes and 7,600 residents supported, we bring proven scale, strong governance, and deep community commitment.

We are seeking two (2) passionate and experienced Team Leaders to lead tenancy and housing operations within this growing program. In this pivotal role, you will mentor and support a dedicated team, oversee access and tenancy management, coordinate program activities, and provide person-centred case management for clients with complex needs. You will also build strong relationships with stakeholders to deliver sustainable housing outcomes and contribute to our strategic vision.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, ensuring clarity of roles and performance expectations.
  • Oversee tenancy management and access services, maintaining a client-centred approach.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and expert advice to team members.
  • Deliver person-centred case management for clients with complex needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and quality frameworks.
  • Contribute to program reporting, continuous improvement, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements for success

  • Relevant degree or associate diploma with substantial experience in housing or community services.
  • Experience in housing management for families facing complex challenges (e.g., mental health, disability, domestic violence).
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, including performance management and coaching.
  • Strong knowledge of tenancy management and relevant policy/legislation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes.
  • Current driver’s licence, Police Check, WWC Check, and First Aid Certificate
  • Familiarity with client management systems and reporting frameworks.
  • Experience in program coordination and continuous quality improvement.

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
