Our Global Analysis Engineering team plays a critical role in ensuring structural integrity, performance and compliance of flexible riser systems throughout the full project lifecycle.

As the Team Leader – Global Analysis Engineering, you will lead and coordinate the local engineering analysis activities related to the structural behavior of flexible pipe systems under field conditions, in accordance with client specifications and industry standards. You will provide technical leadership, validate complex analyses, support commercial and project teams, and guide the development of analysis engineers within the organization.

As a Global Analysis Team Leader, you will be responsible for:

Global Engineering Analysis & Technical Leadership

  • Leading global and local engineering analysis activities for flexible pipe systems under installation and operational field conditions.
  • Reviewing, verifying and approving structural, fatigue and interference analyses and related technical reports using internal and external tools.
  • Acting as a technical authority for dynamic modeling and analysis of flexible riser systems, ensuring compliance with client requirements and standards.
  • Providing expert technical guidance and mentoring to Global Analysis Engineers.

System Integration & Requirements Management

  • Conducting component and product integration activities to ensure optimal system-level performance and operability.
  • Managing product and system requirements, specifications and technical flow-down.
  • Driving validation and verification activities for overall products and systems, resolving complex engineering challenges.

Project Execution & Technical Deliverables

  • Assessing environmental and vessel data for implementation into system models.
  • Producing detailed technical evaluations of flexible riser systems during project execution.
  • Reviewing and presenting design documentation including metocean data, mooring reports and system analyses.
  • Producing comprehensive analysis reports for FEED studies and Project Execution phases.

Methodology, Procedures & Continuous Improvement

  • Supporting the development and improvement of global analysis methodologies.
  • Producing and maintaining engineering procedures related to riser system analysis.

Cross-Functional & Commercial Support

  • Providing technical support to Sales and Tendering teams through system-level analysis.
  • Supporting procurement activities related to ancillary equipment such as buoyancy modules and bend stiffeners.
  • Collaborating closely with project, commercial and engineering teams.

Communication & People Leadership

  • Communicating with the team and leadership on project status, metrics and technical topics.
  • Presenting analysis results and technical insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrating strong leadership, coaching and problem-solving skills.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Naval Architecture or related disciplines.
  • Have Master’s degree or Post-Graduate qualification (desirable).
  • Have a minimum of 8 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Have 5+ years of experience in Flexible Pipe Global Analysis or advanced Numerical Analysis (flexible).
  • Have advanced proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • Have strong experience in Finite Element Analysis of dynamic riser systems (OrcaFlex and/or Flexcom preferred).
  • Have strong knowledge of structural mechanics, fluid mechanics, vessel motion, hydrodynamics, wave kinematics, stress and buckling analysis.
  • Have advanced proficiency in MS Office tools.

Desired Characteristics

  • Have previous experience in Flexible Pipe analysis engineering.
  • Have understanding of design drivers and modeling of ancillary equipment (bend stiffeners, buoyancy modules) and mooring systems.
  • Have knowledge of offshore standards (DNV, API codes).
  • Have understanding of offshore flexible pipe design and installation methods.
  • Have strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
