Team Leader, Financial and Performance Systems (Hybrid Schedule)

Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change, based on managerial discretion and work performance. All applicants must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed (for example: emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change.

The Team Leader, Financial and Performance Systems manages, maintains and improves current financial and performance systems and develops and supports pursuit and implementation of innovative new technologies.

Essential Functions: 

  • Develop and implement technology solutions in support of evolving business processes.
  • Successfully pair a strong technology background with an in-depth understanding of business processes and principles to provide effective financial and performance management system platforms.
  • Establish and drive prioritization of system and process enhancements. 
  • Collaborate with Finance and Performance Management team stakeholders at all levels to determine business requirements and ensure completion of deliverables on time.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with cross-functional business partners (IT, Accounting, etc) and system vendors.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives through researching best practices, scoping out potential solutions and leading project teams as needed.
  • Lead and develop direct reports (3+ FTE’s) and guide them through challenging situations to achieve desired success. Develop system knowledge and experience across team, ensuring adequate knowledge and training.
  • Promote and encourage a positive, professional, collaborative and efficient work environment in which open communication is encouraged.

Qualifications

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

  • Demonstrated team leadership and development experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP, Planning Analytics (TM1), Board, Dimensional Insight, PowerPlan or other financial or performance metric system software.
  • Strong familiarity with finance, utility accounting and regulation
  • Experience in regulatory financial concepts such as revenue requirements and rate making theory is desirable.
  • Financial modeling experience preferred.
  • Aptitude to draw sound business conclusions, act decisively and drive business results.
  • Ability to effectively direct multiple and competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strategic mindset: ability to see the big picture and provide effective direction.
  • Focus on innovation; continually and consistently challenge the status quo.

Education:    

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Accounting, Finance or Business Administration. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:                          

  • Eight (8) plus years of related experience required.

Licenses & Certifications:  

  • CPA or industry specific designation(s) preferred.

$135,440.00-$150,490.00
