A fantastic opportunity exists to join Cerebral Palsy Alliance (CPA) as the Team Leader of the Dubbo Therapy Team!
CPA is a ground-breaking, global centre of expertise for cerebral palsy research, advocacy, intervention and assistive technology innovation. As a Team Leader/ Senior Therapist you will have the opportunity to not only support our local therapy team but also enhance your leadership skills and join CPA’s Therapy Leadership team which is spread across NSW and the ACT.
The Dubbo therapy team is made up of 9 local therapists including occupational therapists, physiotherapists and speech pathologists. The multidisciplinary team is very experienced and is supported by a Client Services Consultant, local Team Leader and Therapy Manager.
Our Therapy centre in Gipps Street is about to undergo an exciting refurbishment, and our local team have access to all of the resources required to best support our clients and families. The team also provides services in community and works closely with our team in Orange to service clients across the Orana region/ Central West.
This position is currently full time with half of your week spent leading the team with support from the site’s Therapy manager and the other half spent managing a caseload as a senior therapist.
At CPA we aim to be as flexible as possible to suit your lifestyle and balance the needs of the team. In this role you will be supported not only by Dubbo’s Therapy Manager (to whom the position reports) but by a network of therapy leaders across CPA. You will also have access to various modes of leadership training including online courses and face to face sessions facilitated by Regional Managers, internal business partners and external subject matter experts.
A clinical background in OT, PT, SP or EP is essential.

Required Skills
Strong communication skills including conveying expectations, providing feedback, and facilitating team discussions, communicating risks and barriers to the Regional Manager, and effective engagement with stakeholders and clients to understand their needs and concerns
Leading through guidance, motivation and support
Ability to translate strategic priorities of the organisation into meaningful actions for your team
Problem-Solving: troubleshooting challenges, performing logistical gymnastics and making informed decisions in collaboration with stakeholders
Data-driven decision-making
Proficient user of IT
Commitment to supporting team members to navigate daily challenges as well as their longer-term professional development.
