General Summary:

The Team Lead, Workday Administrator is responsible for supporting the implementation, maintenance, and overall administration of our HRIS platform in areas such as HCM, payroll, talent, attendance, benefits, compensation, and people analytics. This role works in partnership with cross-functional teams to ensure our HRIS platform provides a smooth end-to-end experience for all colleagues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to cross-functional teams, with a high attention to detail.
  • Researches, analyzes, and documents findings.
  • May coach, review, and/or delegate work to other team members.
  • Builds and monitors Workday generated alerts and reports.
  • Creates custom dashboards with actionable insights based on management level.
  • Administers and manages all role-based permission assignments and automated permissions.
  • Develops and administers workflows to help support business processes.
  • Monitors connections to existing systems integrated with Workday.
  • Manages Workday PRISM to unify cross-platform data.
  • Maintains system configuration, data audits, and releases of new functionality for Workday.
  • Responds to situations that arise and resolves technical system issues, while also making
    recommendations for improvements.
  • Maintains system setup and design, including business processes and reporting, inbound and outbound
    data interfaces/integrations, and dashboards.
  • Configures and maintains security profiles for employees across all companies/locations.
  • Ensures compliance and gathers necessary security policies documenting proper internal security controls
  • Leads cross-functional teams on the adoption of Workday major releases, identifying the impact and
    enhancement opportunities associated with a new release and communicating appropriately as needed
  • Reviews and recommends optimization efforts based on system usage.
  • Provides technical guidance and training to colleagues in varying departments and levels.
  • Leads and participates in system integration testing including overseeing and/or developing test scenarios
    and analyzing the effectiveness and functionality of new configurations to ensure all requirements are
    met.
  • Develops functional configuration for new modules and/or updates and enhancements to the existing
    modules.
  • Leverages Workday Community and experiential knowledge to resolve complex, escalated issues.
  • Serves as an escalation point for all Workday related issues

  • Advanced understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields.
    workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity.
  • Strong understanding of Workday best practices and functionality.
  • Strong data management abilities.
  • Ability to successfully drive projects to completion.
  • Ability to understand and articulate complex requirements

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent business experience
  • 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience administering multiple Workday modules
  • Preferred: Workday Pro certification

Working Conditions:

  • Onsite/Hybrid/Remote depending on location
  • 0-10% travel may be required.
