Key responsibilities:
Lead regulatory review across central and state developments affecting renewable energy and energy transition.
Oversee analysis of CERC/SERC orders and regulations (tariff, open access, DSM, grid code, connectivity) and synthesize implications.
Guide workstreams on energy storage, green hydrogen, biogas, small hydro and pumped storage, and relevant policy/regulatory reforms.
Prepare strategic recommendations and leadership briefs for decision-making.
Guide stakeholder engagement synthesis into actionable insights.
Ensure quality assurance of monthly reports, thematic insights, benchmarking scans, seminar summaries and repository outputs.
Minimum qualifications: B.Tech in Engineering disciplines (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical or related) and MBA from a recognized institution (desirable: Master’s in engineering / MBA in Power Management).
Minimum experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in the electricity sector with expertise in policy and regulatory affairs; proven leadership in regulatory analysis and policy advisory assignments. Experience of working in regulatory affairs with special emphasis on RE. Expertise in RE technologies, power systems modelling (e.g., PLEXOS, PSSE, PyPSA, STELLAR)
Specific experience: Experience of working with central or state regulators
Preferred competencies / skills:
Strong grasp of Indian power sector regulation and market reforms.
Excellent synthesis and drafting skills for government-ready briefs.
Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and maintain delivery cadence.
High stakeholder credibility and diplomacy.
