Team Lead – R&D (Full Stack & Test Engineering)

We are looking for a passionate and inspiring Team Lead to join our R&D organization and lead a multidisciplinary scrum team of 6–9 talented software and test engineers, based in our Tel Aviv, Israel site.

Reporting to the Group Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving both technical excellence and personal growth within your team.

Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead a cross-functional scrum team of full-stack developers and test engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Use feature development as a tool to grow and empower team members, aligning personal development goals with product and organizational needs.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet both customer needs and clinical standards.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Clinical, and Data Science teams to define and execute on roadmap priorities.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship, helping team members navigate challenges and grow in their careers.
  • Balance long-term product development with short-term clinical support, ensuring responsiveness and reliability.
  • Promote agile best practices, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous integration.
  • Drive innovation and encourage experimentation while maintaining a strong focus on quality and performance.


About You

  • A people-first leader who believes in coaching, mentoring, and developing others.
  • Experienced in leading software development teams, ideally in agile environments.
  • Technically proficient in full-stack development (Python, Linux, MySQL, cloud services, Elasticsearch, etc.).
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
  • A strong communicator who builds trust and alignment across teams and stakeholders.
  • Passionate about making a real-world impact through technology, especially in the healthcare and genomics space.


Experience and Qualification Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or mentorship role.
  • Proven experience managing agile teams and delivering complex software projects.
  • Hands-on experience with full-stack technologies, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • B.Sc. or higher in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in healthcare, genomics, or data science domains.
  • Familiarity with remote team collaboration and building inclusive team cultures.
  • Understanding of clinical workflows and the ability to communicate effectively with scientific and medical stakeholders.
