Job Title: Team Lead - Project Controls Scheduler

Location: 1055 Joliet Street, Valparaiso, IN

Hybrid Schedule: Onsite Tuesday - Thursday (remote Mondays & Fridays)

Job Overview:

The Team Lead Project Scheduler provides leadership and oversight for project scheduling activities across the project lifecycle. This role supervises project schedulers, manages integrated project schedules, and drives schedule performance through predictive, risk‑based planning and analysis. The position partners closely with project management, project controls, and key stakeholders to integrate scope, cost, risk, quality, and schedule management to improve project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise Project Schedulers, including workload management, performance feedback, coaching, and development
  • Direct the development, maintenance, and control of integrated project schedules and baselines throughout the project lifecycle
  • Lead monthly, cross‑functional schedule reviews and provide clear project and program schedule status reporting
  • Apply industry‑standard project scheduling practices and tools to ensure accurate, risk‑managed, and executable schedules
  • Perform schedule initiation, status, assessment, and analysis; forecast schedule performance and variance; and recommend corrective, preventive, and predictive actions
  • Integrate scheduling with cost, scope, risk, quality, and contract management to support informed project decision‑making
  • Drive quantitative and qualitative risk‑based scheduling techniques, including opportunity analysis, expected monetary value, and sensitivity analysis
  • Direct contract schedule assessment, change forecasting, and performance reporting in coordination with project leadership
  • Ensure effective stakeholder engagement by gathering accurate project data and delivering timely, meaningful schedule insights
  • Oversee schedule reporting requirements, including standard, advanced, and ad‑hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Tailor scheduling processes, tools, and system architectures to meet project‑specific needs and improve performance predictability
  • Serve as a scheduling subject matter expert to project managers, leadership, and other stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with company project management guidelines, industry standards, and best practices

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: 7–9 years of construction or engineering experience, including at least 4 years as a Project Scheduler OR Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Project Scheduler
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software and spreadsheet tools
  • Strong understanding of integrated project controls, including scope, cost, schedule, risk, and quality management
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, analyze, and manage complex project schedules and schedule databases
  • Proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence, motivate, and guide teams
  • Working knowledge of project management standards, guidelines, processes, and job aids

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 4–6 years of direct experience as a Project Scheduler
  • Experience supporting large industrial or capital projects
  • Valid in‑state driver’s license upon hire

Salary Range*:

$113,500.00 - $170,300.00

*The salary offered to a candidate is based on several factors including but not limited to the candidate’s skills, job-related knowledge, and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity.
