We're hiring a Maintenance Team Lead to join our Mine Equipment Maintenance team at Base Plant in Fort McMurray! In this role, you will provide leadership, direction and mentorship to our mine equipment maintenance teams by safely executing shift priorities and creating an engaging workplace.
You will work in conjunction with multiple stakeholders to ensure the execution team is aware of maintenance, reliability and operational requirements for the shift.

Minimum Requirements:
Five years of combined leadership and heavy equipment maintenance experience
A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
Trade or technologist certificate or applicable engineering degree will be considered
A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
Strong collaboration skills that enable you to build strong, positive relationships with diverse groups
The ability to anticipate potential problems and check for out-of-the-ordinary conditions, as well as having a strong sense of accountability

Key Responsibilities:
Proactively communicate with direct reports, maintenance leadership team and peers
Inform other support functions as required by communicating business vision and priorities, program or project status, conducting and participating in leadership meetings, providing presentations and listening to employee concerns and suggestions
Work with other leaders to streamline processes across organizational and functional boundaries
Monitor appropriate metrics to ensure performance to shift plan
Communicate business priorities to maintenance teams to strategize execution and collaborates to set targets for achievement
Champion program and project initiatives geared toward recognizing employee achievements, increasing employee satisfaction and retaining a skilled and motivated workforce
Create a culture of continuous improvement by communicating/deploying enterprise best practices and employee engagement to improve cost, quality, delivery, employee job satisfaction and customer satisfaction
Lead initiatives to evaluate and improve cost saving programs and processes
Location & other key details
You will work out of our Base Plant site in Fort McMurray, Alberta
The shift schedule is a 6 days on / 6 days off rotation (3 days on, 3 nights on, 6 days off; 12-hour shifts)
This position is safety sensitive
If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory. Relocation support will be provided; we offer competitive housing assistance to eligible individuals
