Objective of the position
In this role, you will provide leadership to the Hardware Engineering team within the Product Development (PD) organization, driving the development of hardware solutions for electronic architectures and advanced PCB platforms, with a strong strategic focus on optical performance. The position ensures effective resource planning, budget management, and adherence to processes to drive successful delivery and continuous improvement. You will also monitor progress, quality, and costs, while identifying industry trends and defining short- and mid-term departmental goals.
In parallel, the role remains hands-on in hardware design, translating customer and product requirements into technical specifications and solutions. This includes designing PCBs and optical solutions, selecting components and materials, maintaining design documentation, and overseeing verification, validation, and testing activities in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Education, Experience and Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Mechatronics, Embedded Systems, or a related field).
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in hardware and/or electronics engineering, including minimum 3-5 years of team leadership experience.
Strong multidisciplinary knowledge of both hardware and software engineering principles.
Familiarity with automotive standards and core tools, including PPAP, DFMEA, APQP, and 8D methodologies is a big plus.
Working knowledge of relevant regulations and standards such as RoHS, REACH, ISO 16750, ISO 26262, and R10.
Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages are an advantage), with a demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development in embedded and automotive electronics.
