As Team Lead Engineering Platform Success Region ROW (Engineering Manager) you will ensure and support the hardware, software and/or service delivery as a leader setting focus, removing impediments, managing stakeholders and creating efficiencies in collaboration wherever possible. Description of the area
Hosting and Infrastructure (HI) provides mission critical on-premise infrastructure, cloud hosting, connectivity, and technology products that enable all functions at every Roche site to develop / innovate, connect and deliver compliant digital products across the Roche Enterprise.
With Roche sites all over the globe, it is key to ensure successful adoption and facilitation of Network Platform infrastructure. Therefore this Platform Success team serves as the primary bridge between business requirements and technical execution. The team is accountable for the lifecycle of network initiatives—,from initial consultation and Connectivity Platform standard-compliant design to procurement and final delivery. As the representatives and engagement team for the Connectivity products, they orchestrate cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and to the customer's satisfaction.
Your main responsibilities:
Lead Capability Development: Focus on growing engineering team skills that align with both immediate project goals and the organization's long-term vision.
Champion Team Well-being: Maintain a sustainable delivery pace while cultivating a culture of psychological safety, open communication, and high morale.
Drive Technical Roadmaps: Partner with Product Managers to co-create service roadmaps and ensure high-quality, end-to-end feature delivery across the product lifecycle.
Optimize Team Performance: Use data-driven insights to identify workforce trends and implement process improvements that boost efficiency and output quality.
Strategic Resource Management: Manage budgets, headcount, and vendor contracts while making data-backed decisions to maximize resource impact and ROI.
Who you are:
Proven People Leader: You bring 5+ years of experience building and leading high-performing teams in product, service, or program management environments.
Industry & Technical Expert: You have 2+ years in the life sciences/healthcare tech sector and significant experience in enterprise-level connectivity, networking, and RFPs.
Formally Educated: You hold a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related IT/Business discipline.
Agile Strategist: You possess a deep understanding of software development, solution architecture, and delivery methodologies with a lean and agile mindset.
Visionary Collaborator: You demonstrate executive presence and "servant leadership" (VACC) to break down silos and empower autonomous teams toward a shared purpose.
