Job description
The Product Manager is accountable for the entire product lifecycle, from initial ideation and strategic planning through to launch, scaling, and eventual retirement. This role is pivotal in transforming scientific and business needs into tangible, high-value technology solutions. You will be responsible for defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring it aligns with the overarching goals of our organization and ultimately accelerates the delivery of life-changing diagnostics and medicines to patients. This role demands a distinctive combination of scientific inquisitiveness, technical proficiency, and business insight to successfully navigate the landscape.
Your primary objective is to lead engineering and service teams building desirable, feasible, viable, and sustainable products that meet the evolving needs of our internal users while maintaining strict compliance with relevant industry standards.
Description of the area
We are seeking a hands-on leader, ideally with experience as an STE, RTE, Program Manager or Initiative Owner, to guide a diverse delivery team, including Senior Project/Program Managers, Deployment Leads, RTEs, and STEs.
You will operate as a practitioner-leader, balancing deep mentorship with Network Execution.
Success in this role relies on establishing absolute trust with Business and IT leaders through constant communication and active partnership. You will embody the following:
Trusted Partnership: Build deep alliances with Business and IT executives through transparent communication, ensuring your team bridges the gap between Strategic Intent and Operational Execution.
Practitioner & Coach: Mentor your team to master SAFe facilitation and navigate Hybrid (Agile/Waterfall) landscapes, while stepping in to act as a STE, RTE or Initiative Owner as needed.
Operational Excellence: Act as a guardian of Flow and Methodology with an AI-focused mindset, ensuring your team enforces the Definition of Ready and removes systemic impediments.
As the Team Lead you act as the primary operational anchor, holding People Authority for the delivery organization. While the VSL (RDT Business Owner) sets the strategic direction you are responsible for operationalizing that strategy across a dual-track landscape. You will orchestrate the continuous flow of the Agile Value Stream for network-governed systems, while simultaneously driving distinct Programs and Projects to successful completion. Your role is to ensure that rigorous milestones are achieved without disrupting the broader, continuous cadence of the Agile Network.
