Northeast Lead – JLL

What this job involves:

As the Northeast Team Lead, you will be responsible to oversee key projects for the financial services client while the ideal candidate will have experience in real estate/construction project management and managing a team that execute projects ranging $50M+. You will provide leadership, direction, and strategic guidance to the team while ensuring client satisfaction and compliance with contractual requirements while attracting, retaining, developing, and managing a team of professionals for a client-specific region. This role involves providing leadership and direction across teams while demonstrating high energy for the business, ability to energize others, act decisively and the willingness to make tough decisions while ensuring training and development of team members of the client's procedures, methodology, and practices.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Attract, retain, develop, and manage a team of professionals for a client-specific region
  • Provide leadership and direction across teams while demonstrating high energy for the business, ability to energize others, and act decisively
  • Make tough decisions and ensure training and development of team members of the client's procedures, methodology, and practices
  • Manage the relationship with key stakeholders and ensure leadership is fully and accurately informed of all project issues
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders and vendors
  • Monitor and manage project team and vendor performances to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, regulatory entities, and client expectations
  • Oversee project implementation and execution through completion of construction
  • Provide strategic direction and ensure timely and accurate execution of project deliverables of the team
  • Recommend, establish, or refine best practices and standards of excellence
  • Make independent judgments related to operating procedures impacting assigned projects
  • Develop RFPs and negotiate contracts while identifying and addressing areas of concern regarding potential liabilities and risk

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 15-20 years leading projects within complex high rise/urban real estate assets, with a focus on corporate interior scopes of work
  • Strong working knowledge of architectural drawings, mechanical drawings, electrical drawings, plumbing drawings, building components, infrastructure systems, and base building utilities
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and grow a team of professionals
  • Previous experience effectively supervising, training, mentoring, and evaluating several project managers at various levels within the organization or team
  • A strong working knowledge of accounting and financial reporting, budgeting, scheduling, and process as they relate to corporate real estate
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office applications and MS Project
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive client relationships
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies, procedures, and practices
  • Ability to make independent judgments and decisions
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Real Estate, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, etc.)
  • Experience managing teams that execute projects ranging $50M+
  • Experience with financial services clients
  • Understanding of complex high rise/urban real estate assets
  • Knowledge of corporate interior scopes of work and project execution
  • Experience with RFP development and contract negotiation
  • Understanding of potential liabilities and risk management (fee, reputation, errors, and omissions)
  • Experience with client-specific regional team management

Estimated compensation for this position:

250,000.00 – 300,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
