Main Purpose of the Role

The primary function of this job is to assist shift supervisor/manager with work assignments,movement of personnel and ensuring customer orders are processed appropriately to meet compliance requirements,regulations,carrier deadlines and customer expectations.

Main Responsibilities

• Individual ensures manufacturing needs are met in a timely manner.

• Maintains shift responsibility when exempt supervisor/manager is not present.

• Check for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices.

• Pick, pack, and dispatch outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders.

• Enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records.

• Retrieve stored information to respond to enquiries (for example on inventory levels or delivery schedules.).

• Perform other routine clerical activities according to the organization’s established procedures.

• These activities may include answering telephones, updating stock cards and inventory records, and completing receipt, transfer, delivery, and dispatch forms.

• Operate forklifts or other warehouse machinery.

Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma/GED

Experience/Background

Minimum 2 years relevant experience in shipping and inventory control

Experience as a team leader is preferable

Ability to work through others who are not direct reports

The base pay for this position is

$22.50 – $45.00/hour

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
