Details of the role and how it fits into the team

The Credit Risk Stress Testing team is one of the core functions within the Enterprise & Treasury Risk Management (ETRM) division. It serves as a central function for Deutsche Bank’s credit risk stress testing, owning deliveries in both internal risk management as well as in regulatory stress testing exercises.

Your key responsibilities

  • You lead the monthly delivery of group-wide internal stress tests for different scenarios: Deliver timely stress tests, perform complex analysis and present results.

  • You take responsibility for the delivery of addition regulatory stress tests (e.g. EBA stress test) and Ad-Hoc stress tests.

  • You lead the Change strategy: improve credit stress test models in collaboration with Global Strategic Analytics (GSA) and further automate and improve key credit stress test processes using Python and AI tools.

  • You interact with and manage various stakeholders across Risk and Finance.

  • You lead a team of four and are responsible for developing the team and creating an efficient structure and governance.

  • The role holder leads the Credit Risk Stress Test Berlin team and reports into the Head of Credit Risk Stress Test.

Your skills and experiences

  • Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. quantitative finance, engineering, mathematics, physics).

  • Preferably 8+ years of experience in Risk, Finance or related area, subject-matter expertise in credit risk preferred, though related experience in market risk or broader risk stress testing is also valuable.

  • Strong IT and data management skills with proficiency in Python.

  • Strong knowledge of financial products and financial markets.

  • Strong analytical and structuring skills.

  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in English (verbal and written).
