Number of hours vary by position: 42 hours
Position Summary:
Must assist the course lecture with all aspects of the course which could include, but is not limited to:
Consult and communicate with course lecturer;
Read required material and any secondary material necessary for performing tasks;
Assist with creating weekly active learning exercises to be conducted in class;
Assist with creating formative and summative assessment questions to be used in quizzes;
Conduct virtual (online) tutorials if needed;
Assist with student learning;
Effectively communicate with students;
Ensure confidentiality regarding course-related matters;
Respect and treat all students equally.
Qualifications:
Must be a current Masters or PhD student
Prior demonstrable study in the subject matter of the course
Experience using myCourses
Excellent overall academic performance
Must have good command of the English language and good communication skills
Strong teaching skills
