Rate: $15.00/hour
Schedule: 8:30-4:30, up to 33 weeks per program requirements
During orientation and debriefing sessions for missionaries’ children, our Children Education Program provides caring, age‑appropriate support to kids ranging from infants to high school students. We match workers with the age group that best fits their strengths and experience.
Responsibilities:
Assist teachers in one of these classrooms:
Preschool classroom
School‑age classroom OR
“Floater” for the classroom education program
Help create a safe, welcoming environment where missionary kids can learn, play, and grow.
Assist with various classroom activities to include Bible stories/activities, cultural learning activities, recess, P.E., music, arts, etc.
Aid teachers with classroom management
Assist students during lunch and snacks
Work up to 33 weeks per year as program dictates
Requirements:
Experience may be flexible depending on the classroom assignment.
High school diploma or GED required
Previous teaching/teaching assistance experience in any setting, from early education through high school, preferred
Current or willing to get the TDAP and FLU vaccine to work in some classrooms.
Ability to lift and carry infants up to 20 pounds as needed
Physically able to lift and move young children safely, as well as navigate on and off the floor within a classroom setting.
Possess the stamina and agility to perform repetitive tasks such as squatting, bending, and standing for extended periods
